Day 49. Thursday, September 2, 2010. Back to Omuta from Kusu.
Spent the morning traveling over mountain roads. Face soon green ("midori"). Got to get out of car. Ended up at a "Viking" (buffet) and stomach, surprisingly, returns much to normal. Two waterfalls. Views of Mt Aso. With every ascending grade I'm reliving the ordeal of crossing 3 passes on the way to Aso! Relativity. Stop in Arao for dinner with whole family at Sato-san's sister-in-law's little "western" izakaya. "Oh, yeah. I know what that is. Jellyfish, right?" Well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger, right?
Have a few glasses of blueberry wine at home. Hiroaki falls asleep on floor. Guess who gets the air-conditioned room? The guest.
